Nikki Heat; The "Castle" books

Has anyone read these books? The first is called "Heat Wave." The author is the fictional Rick Castle played brilliantly by Nathon Fillion in the show Castle. I have watched the show, my library has them on DVD (yay!)
I see the books come and go from the library and figure they must be pretty good since they seem to go out frequently but crime isn't really my genre. I'm sure i'll end up reading them at some pint, just looking for an opinion or two.

I'm always amazed that there is an author I haven't read! Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm still wondering who the real author is. I have put off looking it up, somehow it would be less fun. Not knowing means I can pretend it's really Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) writing those books. It's fiction wrapped in fiction wrapped in an enigma...
