Manhunt: the Ten-year Search for Bin Laden from 9/11 to Abbottabad by Peter L Bergen
The irony of this well-documented saga of the search for and assassination of terrorist number one is that the author claims the coup was not that big of a deal, although the narrative indicates otherwise. Perhaps the irony is nourished by the fact that Peter L Bergen is a CNN national security analyst, akin to being a TV meteorologist.
Of particular interest is the interaction of intelligence players Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and leftover Robert Gates. The resolve of Obama and Clinton to get 'er done is startling, while the behavior of Biden and Gates is predictable.
A good read this narrative is when focused on Bin Laden and not the insight of the teller.
