Love, Death, and a Chinese Train by Jennifer Artley Moore
The setting of this book switches back and forth between China in the early nineteen hundreds and China today. A young American documentary film maker is on a train travelling from Beijing (Peking) to Shanghai and is interviewing Jane and Mei. Jane is an American who grew up in Peking, China, and now is quite elderly. Mei is her 60 year old long lost daughter whom Jane hasn't seen in 50 years although she has been searching for her all these years. It is a story of romance and tragedy mingled with much of China's history. It is also a murder mystery. You won't believe who did it! You've got to read this one!
