Love's Reckoning by Laura Frantz (1st in the Ballantyne Legacy)

This is a compelling book that just draws you into another place and time with the setting in York County, PA, during the late eighteenth century. Another beautifully written novel by Laura Frantz with a cast of realistic characters ... this is one of my favorite books of the year. It's a story with dark family secrets, lies and deceit, and a tender love with so many complexities and conflict. It will really tug at your heart strings.

I highly recommend all of her books, but this is probably my favorite.
