The Summoning by Kelly Armstrong

Book one in the Darkest Powers Series. I found this book a refreshing break from all the vampire hype out there these days in YA books. It was nice to have a character that was a necromancer, that's something you don't see ever day. Of course there is also a witch and a werewolf...among others. Add an evil organization who wants to capture the kids that possess these powers and use them for their own purposes and you've got a very interesting and fast-paced hard to put down book.
