The Fox by Arlene Radasky
The setting of this book is around 80 AD and today in northern Scotland. An archeologist, Aine, is visited by ghosts of the ancient peoples of northern Scotland. She embarks on a dig where she is led by the ghost of Jahna who lived in this place in 80 AD. The scene switches between then and now. The Picts were an ancient people living in this ares and the reader acquires much information about how they lived although they were defeated by the Romans. I really enjoyed this book being part Scottish myself. I thought it began a bit slowly, but became a page turner. I give it 5 out of 5 stars!
