The enfillade of bullets that never seem to hit home in this surreal mystery of ruthless espionage in San Francisco, Galveston, remote parts of Massachusetts, to Paris, Budapest, to the frozen tundra of Arctic Siberia would serve to excess the entire jihad of now dead suicide bombers. Ryan O'Malley and Zoe Dmitroff scour the world in search of the secrets of the elusive altar of bones in a cave in Norilsk, Russia, to reveal its power of gushing forth the fountain of youth.
It is only a matter of time before the hero and heroine consummate their relationship amid a hail of bullets as they attempt to escape another group of assassins who, this time, drive off a mountainous road into a deep gorge. They lustfully become intimate on the hot hood of their rented Mercedes after the chase, no doubt to give this thriller added zip.
Jack Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Bobby Kennedy, Josef Stalin, Rasputin, the lovely but doomed Romanov family, Lee Harvey Oswald, Jack Ruby, and other more profound members of the patsy elite and Illuminati figure prominently is this farcical attempt to outdo James Bond.
How the author left out Howard Hughes and Hitler remains a mystery.
